Several stakeholders in public and private sectors in Norway support the project. Each case has local businesses and organisations that support the project with their expertise. Each case has its designated leader and partners. The Norwegian Research Council funds the project.
NORSUS .
Kristiansund Municipality leads the plastic (neutrality) case, supported by eSea Marine, experts in marine survey and advisory, and RePlast, experts on plastic recycling. Dale elementary school is participating as a link to children as workshop participants in the plastic case.
Trondheim Municipality .
Trondheim is Norway’s historical capital city, having transformed over the past one thousand years into a vibrant knowledge hub that is today known as Norway’s Technology Capital.Trondheim Municipality leads the mobility case, supported by the Electric Car Association, and public transport provider AtB.
Viken County Municipality .
The counties of Østfold, Akershus, and Buskerud forms Viken County Municipality, which is responsible for regional development in the public and private sector, which includes developing regional plans for different sectors (energy, mobility, agriculture, etc), and assisting the 51 municipalities in the council county. The county municipality has several established networks and cooperations, including Klima Østfold (multilevel governance including representatives from county council, municipalities, representative for the state), and Klimapartnere (pentahelix cooperation including representatives from municipalities, private companies, NGOs, citizen groups, and academia). The County Municipality has public ownership interests in renewable energy production companies such as Akershus Energi and Østfold Energi.
eSEA Marine .
eSEA Group personnel are compiled from different segments across the marine and tech industry to enable new thinking and contribute to safe and effective work methods. eSEA Group aims to utilize and develop this competence by making sure it is used to conserve our world for the future while sustainably exploiting the resources.
AtB .
As a mobility company, AtB aims to facilitate easy, seamless travel adapted to different needs and travel patterns. The public transport is developed and presented together with cycling, walking and sharing services. The goal is for travelers to get easily from A to B without using their own car.
